Business Manager | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | May 2022 to July 2022

  • Determine financial and clinical impact of 50% reduction in staffing in the Cardiac Anesthesia division in coordination with administrative and clinical leaders. 
  • Collaborate with CHOP senior leaders to increase base pay for cardiac anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists to increase provider retention.
  • Lead weekly meetings with Cardiac Anesthesia and Cardiac Critical Care Medicine division chiefs. 
  • Manage provider professional expense accounts. 
  • Perform budget analysis for each division on an ongoing basis and ensure provider salaries are allocated to correct accounts.
  • Partner with graduate medical education division to matriculate and provide financial support for fellows during specialized training periods with the hospital. 

The Nicholas and Athena Pediatric Care Center, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Site Manager | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania |2019 - 2022

  • Work with the KPCC Site Medical Director, Ambulatory Nursing and Senior Leadership in the Ambulatory Department and the hospital to manage over 150 staff members with over 40 healthcare providers and over 40 clinical team members.
  • Directly manage 2 Operations Supervisors, 2 Financial Counselors, and 2 Office Administrators with 30 PSRs and 2 Provider Schedulers who report up through Operations Supervisors
  • Manage matrix reporting structure for 3Security Officers, 2 Facilities Technicians,1 Supply Chain Technician while working collaboratively with IS Support, Biomedical Support, and Environmental Services with over 10 employees.
  • Accountable for the management of $40 million dollar budget, annual revenue cycle management and attending monthly financial planning meetings. 
  • Worked in triad leadership structure with Medical Director and Nurse Manager to continue to exceed our 80% Well Child Visit goals throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Built Newborn Phone Line enabling 100+ newborn patients per month to have rapid access to scheduling upon hospital discharge. 
  • Manage monthly staff meetings by developing the agenda, conducting, and/or presenting the entirety of the meetings.
  • Lead Behavioral Incident Management including an internal investigation through collaboration with Risk Management, Security, Threat Assessment Team to determine our response action plan for those involved.

  • Customer Service Representative for non-emergent medical transportation provider for Philadelphia. Scheduled transportation for individuals with Medicaid to and from medical appointments.

The Children's Surgical Associates

Assistant Researcher | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | 2009-2011

  • Led laboratory testing of 200 adults,15 pediatric CPB and33 ECMO patient plasma samples under direction of Dr. Peter C. Minneci MD within Dr. Alan Flake Laboratory.
  • Conducted analysis of % hemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin in 200 human plasma samples, using UV spectrophotometer.
  • Facilitated analysis of oxyhemoglobin’s ability to bind to nitric oxide from plasma samples. The samples were obtained from 200patients during cardiac surgery (on pump procedures). GE’s Sievers 280i Nitric Oxide Analyzer was used for analysis.

University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Assistant Researcher | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | 2008-2009

  • Independently led a Complex Cardiac Surgical Study with strict adherence to protocol, good clinical practice, human subject protection, and HIPAA guidelines. Led informed consent process for 200 patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures.
  • Facilitated blood sampling following surgery via A-line or venipuncture at regularly scheduled times up to 48 hours post-operative. Ensured blood samples were centrifuged and stored per study protocol specifications.
  • Performed reactive hyperemia challenge in the operating room pre and post operatively.
