- All SP2 staff are required to participate in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed.
- Work closely with other research coordinators to coordinate and organize PEEP research activities according to project timelines and goals. This includes support of design of research data-collection plans, data collection, protocol development, and supervising research assistants
- Assist research team members with all stages of research, including scheduling data-collection with external stakeholders, preparing materials for data collection, communicating with research sites, and completing necessary follow-ups
- Assist Project Director with managing the IRB process. This may include drafting protocols, submitting applications, ensuring compliance with IRB protocols throughout the entire research process, and coordinating with IRBs external to Penn.
- Organize and participate in research team meetings by identifying tasks that need to be completed, delegating tasks to research assistants where appropriate, tracking progress, and ensuring documentation of all data-collection activities.
- Co-supervise student research assistants to ensure completion of research interviews, monitoring quality of qualitative and quantitative data; this includes training student research assistants and other part-time research assistants.
- Support programming of survey tool (Voxco)
- Manage research participant incentive process, including but not limited to: registration, activation, incentive deposits, monitoring incentive cards budget balance, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate and schedule research interviews and other participant interactions. Respond to participant inquiries, and support research participants' connections to PEEP research studies. This includes ensuring that interactions with participants are positive and at every level help participants feel connected to PEEP.
- Support data cleaning, management and processing activities with guidance from PEEP data scientist.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including participation in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in any social science or related field, and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters degree is preferred.

The Philadelphia Economic Equity Project (PEEP) within the Center for Public Service and Policy is based at the School of Social Policy & Practice.
PEEP provides important, timely, and ongoing evidence about poverty, hardship, and economic mobility in Philadelphia.
PEEP's research design framework establishes a neighborhood-level data source using a multi-pronged, mixed methods research approach that is anchored in a longitudinal panel survey.
Data collection in Philadelphia reflects the priorities of community partners, policy decision-makers, and researchers.This localized approach is responsive to the shifting nature of economic hardship and mobility, as well as attuned to the need for local responses to alleviate poverty and promote economic mobility.
The Research Coordinator will participate in all aspects of research design and development, data collection and research participant communications and coordination.
They will work closely with other research coordinators to coordinate and organize PEEP research activities according to project timelines and goals.
