- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Process electronic payments and verifies accuracy of 401(k) plan submissions.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Comparing system reports to balances and verifying entries.
- Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers, as well as controlling petty cash spending.
- Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, invoices, or payment discrepancies.
- Reconciling account transactions with the general ledger.
- Performing recordkeeping and preparing financial reports.
- Processing client payments.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, reconciling internal control, and posting payroll and payroll tax data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Proficient with payroll software. ADP Workforce Now , preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or similar.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
