    Litigation Support Technician at Cornerstone Discovery

    Exciting opportunity for an individual with strong technical expertise in digital forensics, data science, and information technology to acquire hands-on skills in eDiscovery and litigation support at a reputable firm.

    Cornerstone Discovery, a comprehensive litigation support company, is looking to recruit a Litigation Support Technician to aid clients with eDiscovery, in-court, and out-of-court litigation requirements. This role involves utilizing tools like Nuix, Cellebrite, ReadySuite, online legal document review platforms, and related software for collecting and processing ESI (Electronically Stored Information), managing document reviews, and providing guidance to clients on effective searches and data analysis.

    The technician will be part of the eDiscovery team, reporting directly to the eDiscovery Manager. Apart from eDiscovery responsibilities, the position also involves supporting the digital forensic and trial support department, handling tasks such as forensic imaging of digital devices, data collection, chain of custody management, and assisting with trial technology setup and support.

    This entry-level position does not require prior knowledge of legal concepts but demands a strong technical background, project management skills, and a desire to learn. Candidates with a background in digital forensics, IT, technical help desk, or customer service will be favored.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Assist in data collection and processing
    • Perform searches, generate analytical reports, and handle document reviews
    • Provide technical support calls and project management assistance
    • Manage storage, chain of custody, and data analysis
    • Offer in-court trial support and manage trial exhibits
    • Ensure flawless digital display of documents, media, and exhibits at trial
    • Deliver litigation support services such as scanning, printing, and PowerPoint development
    • Build relationships with clients, court staff, and Judges

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong communication skills
    • Degree in digital forensics, data science, or related field
    • Experience in eDiscovery, legal review, or digital forensics is beneficial
    • Proficiency in tools like Nuix and Microsoft Excel
    • Project management and IT experience is advantageous
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Attention to detail and discretion required

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Familiarity with Windows OS and MS Office
    • Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new technologies
    • Effective time and project management skills
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
    • Clear and concise communication skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks

    TRAVEL:

    • Minimal travel outside Philadelphia may be required
    • Valid driver's license and ability to fly on commercial airlines
