    Great opportunity for an individual with solid technical skills and a background in digital forensics, data science, and information technology to gain practical experience in eDiscovery and litigation support at a leading litigation support firm.

    Cornerstone Discovery, an end-to-end litigation support company, is looking to hire a Litigation Support Technician to help clients with eDiscovery, in-court and out-of-court litigation needs. This role will be part of the eDiscovery team and will report directly to the eDiscovery Manager.

    As a Litigation Support Technician, you will work with programs like Nuix, Cellebrite, ReadySuite, online legal document review platforms, and related tools to manage all aspects of collecting and processing ESI (Electronically Stored Information) and creating and overseeing document reviews for document productions. Your responsibilities will include guiding clients on effective searches, data culling, basic analysis of technical information and metadata, report generation based on data analysis, and collaboration with legal teams for document review efficiency.

    Additionally, you will get hands-on experience with legal document review platforms, including Cornerstone Discovery's Junto.net platform. You will support review teams on this platform, offer training, technical assistance, and help with review management.

    When not handling eDiscovery tasks, you will assist the digital forensic or trial support department. This may involve tasks such as collecting and imaging digital devices, data collection, maintaining chain of custody logs, processing data for analysis, and traveling to client sites for collections as needed. You will use forensic software and hardware to aid examiners in intricate corporate and criminal investigations. You will also receive training in trial and litigation support and might be called upon for in-court consulting related to discovery management and presenting documents or multimedia in criminal or civil cases, some of which may be high profile or confidential.

    This position is suitable for candidates with a strong technical background, project management skills, and a willingness to learn. While prior knowledge of these concepts is not mandatory, a background in digital forensics or IT is advantageous. Experience in technical help desk and customer service roles is beneficial.

    Cornerstone Discovery offers a relaxed, flexible, dynamic work environment. Business attire is required for client meetings and court appearances, while casual attire is permitted in the office.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Support data collection and processing
    • Assist in running searches, developing analytical reports, and managing document reviews for clients
    • Provide technical support, including after-hours calls and project management
    • Manage storage by archiving inactive cases and retrieving data for active cases
    • Maintain chain of custody for devices and discovery materials
    • Aid in data analysis, early case assessment, and trial support
    • Manage trial exhibits, both in and out of court
    • Set up trial technology, including digital document displays
    • Offer litigation support services like scanning, printing, and audio/video clipping
    • Develop PowerPoint presentations for trial purposes
    • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, court personnel, and Judges

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Degree in digital forensics, data science, or related field
    • Ability to maintain client confidentiality
    • Capacity to sit for extended periods during court proceedings
    • Previous exposure to eDiscovery, legal review, or digital forensics
    • Experience with Nuix or similar legal data tools
    • Familiarity with legal document review
    • Prior project management or IT experience
    • Internships or experience in trial support
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
