    Description

    Join our Team at VA Puget Sound!

    This position is part of the Acute Care Team, where you'll be supporting providers, nursing leaders, registered nurses, and other team members.

    Our team works with patients admitted to an inpatient medical-surgical unit at VA Puget Sound, Patient Care Service Line.

    Requirements to Join Us:

    • Six months of general experience, education, or training. This should show your ability to learn and perform the work of a NA, or one year of education above high school related to the NA occupation, or the completion of a specialized training course.
    • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

    Experience Matters:

    • Your experience should reflect current healthcare practices.
    • Part-time NA experience counts too!

    Grade Levels:

    • Entry Level GS-3: Basic requirements
    • Developmental Level GS-4: Specialized experience as a NA or in a related medical field.
    • Full Performance Level GS-5: Progressive experience directly related to the job.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Serving patients with daily activities and nursing tasks.
    • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
    • Performing general nursing duties and treatments as required.
    • Participating in patient care and treatment plans.

    Work Schedule:

    24-hour unit, rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
