- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memorandum
- Involved in the intake and case development process including drafting complaints and guiding clients through the case process
- Involved in discovery including document review and analysis and discovery disputes
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavits
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- A JD from an accredited law school and a member of the SC or DC/VA/MD in good standing
- 3-5 years of experience practicing as an attorney with knowledge of and experience in litigation and Federal Rules of civil procedure
- Experience with complex litigation or mass torts
- Strong legal writing skills including experience in drafting briefs and other legal documents
- Ability to express arguments and conclusions clearly and logically
- Ability to analyze and synthesize facts, evidence, and legal theory and to understand and craft legal pleadings, discovery, and proposed orders
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, and results-driven team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience gathering evidence to be used in trial and interviewing key witnesses
- Experience conducting depositions, preferred but not required
- Experience trying cases, preferred but not required
- Travel out of state may be required
- The position may require working more than 40 hours per week
