Established in 1924, Youth Guidance is a top provider of outcome-focused programs, impacting over 8,500 youth and 14,000 individuals including parents, teachers, and community members.

    Position Summary: The Community Resource Coordinator oversees afterschool and before school programs, as well as winter, spring, and summer camps. Responsibilities include recruiting student participants, organizing activities, managing staff, maintaining financial records, collaborating with community partners for program offerings, and promoting program growth. Additionally, fostering strong relationships with school personnel is crucial.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Oversight of program staff; monitoring attendance and interactions
    • Developing a multi-age after school program
    • Creating and managing a program schedule
    • Implementing conflict resolution and behavior management techniques
    • Managing budget compliance and collection
    • Maintaining positive communication with parents
    • Coordinating programs and activities
    • Tracking enrollment and attendance
    • Procuring materials and supplies
    • Keeping accurate accounting records
    • Recruiting program partners
    • Developing a marketing plan for growth
    • Negotiating service agreements
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education/Experience/Training

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of sixty college credit hours
    • At least 3 years of experience in non-profit organizations working with children or adults

    Skills/Abilities

    • 1-2 years working with youth
    • Understanding of organizational structures
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Record-keeping and report preparation
    • Preference for bilingual candidates
