    Location NYC - Hybrid (4 days in the office)


    Rate:
    $80/hr.

    Duration: 12 Months

    MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN Java, Python, Real-time messaging systems & Kafka.

    Must have Fixed Income Electronic Trading experience.

    The client is looking for candidates with less than 7 years of experience. They are looking for someone who can grow within the industry.


    Description:
    We are seeking a talented Java Developer to join our fast-growing fixed income electronic trading/development team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust applications using Java and integrating multiple technologies such as Kafka and FIX protocols.

    This role demands a proactive approach, with a focus on innovative solutions and effective communication within a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, stability, and comprehensive documentation.
    • Interface with trading platforms, vendors, and counterparties, and connect to new trading venues to develop and refine order and execution management systems.
    • Design processes to normalize and communicate across various trading protocols, data structures, and platforms.
    • Proactively plan and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality software solutions within predefined timelines.
    • Continuously explore and integrate new technologies and libraries to enhance system functionality and performance.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Java with substantial experience in Kafka, databases, and FIX protocols.
    • Familiarity with Python, real-time messaging systems, and asynchronous programming.
    • Demonstrated expertise in data design, mapping, and developing complex software architectures.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strict timelines.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for innovative and creative problem-solving.
