Job Title: Business Analyst (structured finance)

Job Location: New York, New York

Job Type: Contract

Must Have: Minimum 10 years' experience in the financial industry, dealing with structured finance and structure products (i.e., ABS, MBS, CLO, etc), trade life-cycle from Front-to-Back of above project types, SQL

A global investment bank is seeking a business Analyst for their New York office. As the primary Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the project manager on regulatory initiatives, frequently involving IT solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting impact analyses, crafting business requirements, and engaging in projects requiring IT solutions. The ideal candidate a comprehensive understanding of Front Office and Operations business processes. You will work in tandem with the project manager and stakeholders to identify and delineate business requirements, analyze data, and formulate solutions to advance the organization's objectives

Responsibilities

with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
current state analysis, impact analysis, or gap assessment as needed
the Project Manager in developing diagrams and presentations when required
and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and solutions
workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and drive consensus; responsible for sending meeting minutes
opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions
effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements
test plans and conduct testing of new solutions; perform Business Analyst testing
ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies
controls for IT implementation within the requirements
issues impacting the business in a clear, concise, and timely manner
clear and concise project reporting to the project manager
client touchpoints and steerco meetings as required, provide metrics, and manage client expectations

Requirements

BS/MS in Finance, Engineering or Computer Science or relevant work experience required
Minimum 10 years of total work experience in the financial industry
Must have experience dealing with structured finance and structure products (i.e.,ABS, MBS, CLO, etc)
Must know the trade life-cycle from Front-to-Back of above project types
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in heavy IT oriented projects working with querying database using SQL
Must have experience with heave usage of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project etc.
Experience in developing impact analysis, current state, future operating model, data reconciliation, quality review, workflow analysis, process improvement, strategic vision, business requirements, diagrams, and functional requirements
Experienced working under stress with willing to work attitude
Proven success identifying and tracking business issues and risks; support mitigation and resolution as required

Experience in IT implementation, development, testing, etc
