Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.


Are you interested in connecting the worlds of Asset Management / Investments and Technology? We are looking for a business analyst working closely with our NY Operations team and translating the business requirements to the technology language.


About the Role


Become the technology point of contact for AM Operations business teams for topics related to regulatory reporting, banking connectivity and overall technology landscape of Swiss Re.


  • Provide business analysis around the requirements of regulators, understand the needs and target state, propose the technical solutions.
  • Communicate with users and stakeholders, analyze, and document their requirements, prepare technical specification for development team.
  • Gain an understanding of the endtoend data flow and support testing and rollout of new products and asset classes if required.
  • Be involved in projects and initiatives, represent the team and/or provide your support and knowledge to the project teams.

About the Team
The COO Business Solutions (COOBS) team is the central technology point of contact for AM Operations team. We provide the business analysis and solutions for topics around regulatory reporting, data reconciliation, banking connectivity and KPI reporting.


We collaborate closely with the business users to understand well their needs and requirements and strive to find or create optimal technology solutions enabling the operations processes.


About You

Essential:

  • Degree or experience in economics, computer science or information technology
  • Good understanding and working experience with financial markets, primarily of back office processes
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Understanding of technology concepts and preferably some handson experience with databases, reporting, business intelligence (Power BI)
  • Understanding / Working experience with financial derivatives

Nice to have:

  • Solid knowledge and experience with financial markets regulations is a significant advantage
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Working experience with VBA Macros
  • Working experience with Blackrock Aladdin
  • Analytical and determined personality with structured deliveryfocused working mode
For New York, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $144,000.

The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
