- Perform operational duties in wheat processing, including receiving wheat via train and truck
- Manage wheat blending and storage
- Monitor various processing parameters and take hourly readings from machinery
- Assess operating conditions and make adjustments to maintain product specifications
- Monitor and control operation HACCP points
- Perform necessary GMP and cleaning duties, including cleaning and fixing machinery
- Work extensively in the external environment
- Gain expert knowledge in the operational process to produce quality products and troubleshoot issues
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new jobs
- Follow directions and accomplish detailed tasks
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Expected to be trained to handle the PLC and Grain Inventory Management process, and be trained as a locomotive driver
- Computer Skills: Basic understanding of computers.
- Math Comprehension: Basic math skills.
- Plant Environment Experience: Previous experience is helpful.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work at heights, and work in hot, cold, and dusty environments.
- Work Habits: Good attendance and individual productivity.
- Operational Process Knowledge: Ability to gain and apply expert knowledge in operational processes.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve potential process problems.
