Description

Duties:

Provides administrative support of a substantive nature to facilitate program management.

Discusses a wide range of sensitive and non-sensitive issues with the program leadership, diverse individuals, groups, and partner services having business dealings with the program.

Researches and writes material for assigned documents, reports, or publications. Writes correspondence, memoranda, forms, articles, marketing materials, or other documents relevant to program activities.


Provides support to assist with intake of offenders and assists with acclimation to the program's mission, goals, objectives, rules, and requirements.

Performs a wide range of administrative duties to support the procurement of supplies, property, and services. Procures materials and supplies needed to support the overall operations of the RSC program.

Maintains automated databases, analyze/interpret statistical data, and supports preparation of various reports based on information presented.

Enters procurement requests in the CSOSA procurement management system (ORACLE) to create requisitions and certify invoices. Monitors review and acceptance processes implemented by CSOSA's Office of Financial Management.

  • This is not a virtual or remote position; you must live within or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance of the duty location which is Washington D.C. (District of Columbia).

Qualifications:


You may qualify at the GS09 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements**:
A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service; Specialized experience would include researching and analyzing established administrative issues; providing information related to regulations, policies, and procedures to a variety stakeholders regarding administrative and/or organizational matters; preparing a variety of written documents, such as staff papers, status reports, or policy recommendations; and utilizing automated systems to collect and analyze data such as compiling reports, tracking trends, and recommending improvements.

B.

Master's degree or least two years of graduate level education in which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience would include Managing financial, acquisitions, budget, or operations data for an office; conducting research, compiling information from other sources, preparing justifications and estimates for program requirements; and analyzing statistical/programmatic data and preparing it for presentations

B. Ph.
D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include

C. A combination of education and experience as listed above.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
