Description
Summary DescriptionThis position supports the credit union's growth initiatives by identifying new opportunities and maximizing existing partnerships to drive member and product/service growth.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for member growth and engagement by taking an integral role in key growth initiatives, as well as working with other departments and branches to maximize growth opportunities.
Works closely with the VP of Marketing & Business Development to create and execute business development strategies, including membership acquisition, partnerships, and finding new channels for growth in business accounts/services, lending, investments and all other products and services.
Introduces the credit union in new markets by making connections, building trust, and creating channels for communication and awareness to a broad audience.
Cultivates and builds positive relationships with community and company partners to generate leads for membership growth. Consistently seeks out new partnerships and marketing channels for growth.Researches and identifies new markets/niches. Tracks emerging markets and trends. Evaluates and tracks key metrics to measure the impact of business development initiatives and makes recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Develops growth opportunities at the branch level to meet organizational goals. This includes working alongside branch managers and mentoring them to drive business to each branch location.
Understands financial products and services (consumer and business) and how they impact/benefit those we serve. Seeks out education when needed and is fully aware of the member experience.
Conducts professional, effective, and relatable live and remote presentations.
Collaborates with all teams (and in particular the Marketing Team), to achieve overall business development goals. Collaborates with the Community Development Manager to create/enhance growth opportunities and increase brand awareness. Displays leadership traits and values, and acts in the best interest of the Credit Union at all times.
RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITYIn order to be successful as a Business Development Director, you must possess these qualifications:
Must have superior sales skills, be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Must have the ability to motivate, influence and train others.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to foster relationships.
Must have excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, employees, members, partners and the general public.
Ability to use the Internet as a research and business development tool.
Knowledge of product lines, corporate goals, and industry conditions.
Ability to use contact management software (CRM).Ability to work a flexible work schedule requiring availability to work evenings and weekends.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field5-7+ years sales or marketing experience in the financial industry3+ years supervisory or management experienceCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSStarting salary - $82K-$98K depending on experienceBeing a part of Partner Colorado CU has its benefits.
