    The Director:

    Development and Marketing is a leadership role responsible for Mile High Youth Corps' fundraising and communications efforts with a $7 million+ budget across its 23 county service area.

    This is a fulltime exempt position with a starting pay rate of $75,000-$85,000/year dependent on experience. Paid time off accrual begins immediately upon hire. Medical, dental, vision and life benefits are available on the 1st of the month after working 60 days. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required for Corps related functions. Office hours will be in our office at 953 Decatur Street in Denver.

    Areas of Responsibility Fundraising:

    • Cultivate, solicit and steward major corporate, foundation, and individual donors. Support and train staff, volunteers, and board members to be effective ambassadors of the organization. Develop an annual fundraising plan inclusive of strategies, tactics and metrics for fund development. Provide leadership and direction as the staff liaison for the Board's Development Committee. Track the Board of Director's annual goals as they relate to fundraising and increased brand awareness. Manage the production of MHYC's signature fundraising event, Building Futures. Execute individual digital and print giving campaigns throughout the year. Manage Salesforce to effectively track all donations and contributions.

    Marketing:

    • Deliver clear and compelling content to donors, supporters, and potential supporters. Maintain web strategy and support website updates. Work with vendors and staff to ensure branding and marketing is consistent for all outward facing communications of the agency. Use data to drive decisions for marketing strategies including Corpsmember recruitment and donor engagement. Work closely with the Development Coordinator and program staff to capture Corpsmembers stories and images to help reinforce the Corpsmember experience.

    Supervision & Staff Development:

    • Hire, orient and supervise the Grants Manager and Development Coordinator positions. Provide effective ongoing feedback, coaching and annual reviews. Build a culture of fundraising across all departments to encourage collaboration and communication.

    Organizational Leadership:

    • Serve as an active member of the leadership team. Promote a positive Corps culture, build relationships across the organization, initiate organizational improvements when appropriate, and promote agency mission in all activities. Oversee the creation and ongoing management of the development and communications budget. Support the diversity, equity and inclusion efforts of the organization

    Qualifications Education:

    • Minimum BA/BS
    Required Qualifications ? Desire to further Mile High Youth Corps' mission, vision and values ? At least five years of experience in fundraising with a track record of creating strategic fundraising plans and meeting or exceeding targets ? At least three years of leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and building a team of fundraisers ? Experience in soliciting corporate, foundation, and individual major gifts ? Experience in working with staff leadership, board members, program staff, and donors to make connections with donors and prospects for MHY ? Experience in formulating communications strategies and implementation plans ? Proven financial management and analytical skills, including experience in planning and managing budgets ? A proven strategic thinker with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals ? Superior presentation ability and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills ? Ability to work to work independently, prioritize workloads and tasks effectively, and meet deadlines ? Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and with others in a team atmosphere ? Excellent team-building and organizational management skills ? Commitment to advanci g MHYC's strategic diversity, equity and inclusion goals ? Ability to legally work in the United States, which will be verified through the federal E-verify system ? Pre-service background check required, which includes fingerprinting

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Working understanding of Salesforce Knowledge of tools that support communication across multiple platforms including: Hootsuite, Wordpress and best practices in social media Knowledge of Colorado funders and their priorities
