- Oversee all visual and written representations of the company, from interiors to social media posts to label art, always being able to answer "why?"
- Design and manage merchandise and inventory for sale online and onsite in a manner commensurate with our brand.
- Develop social media copy at a high level on a weekly basis, and either take or coordinate photography.
- Routinely review, check and double-check menus, displays, interiors, social media, websites, etc.
- Upgrade events displays.
- Oversee all guest-facing interior design projects at the brewery's campus.
- Design (or coordinate the design of) all beer label art in a way that is highly consistent with the look and feel of Schilling Beer Co. This will require substantial organizational capabilities and the ability to work on deadlines with our brewery production staff.
- Serve on our leadership and marketing teams and attend relevant meetings.
- Supervise project-specific contractors (i.e. finish carpenters, label artists, etc.) and potentially staff to produce on-time, on-budget results.
- Essentially, you must become an expert in conveying our identity through all visual and written forms.
- Reports to ownership.
- Base salary $75-95K per annum (depending on experience), with annual reviews, plus goal-based bonuses.

Head of Brand & MarketingThe ideal candidate will be a brand professional in the craft beer industry and be able to demonstrate an intuitive understanding of how to develop and integrate the many aspects of our brewery's brand. Extreme attention to detail and organization; thick skin; humor and collegiality; and excellence in visual and written components of brand development are musts. If the candidate can't do all of the photography, artwork or merchandise design themself, they must possess a ready-made network that can in a cost-effective and timely manner. Operating on deadlines is essential, as is creativity and critical thought. We want a leader in their field, not a follower.Candidates must be able to quantify past successes in craft beer or a closely related industry via a portfolio; their work must be highly sympathetic or transferable to Schilling Beer Co.'s brand; and they must be familiar with the craft beer industry. The ability to write pithy and meaningful social media narratives each week at a high level is also essential, as is the ability to manage project-focused contractors and, possibly, staff.
This position will require working from Schilling at least three days per week.
