    Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center

    Job Description

    We focus on elucidating neuronal mechanisms and restoring neuronal circuits controlling autonomic function after severe spinal cord injury (SCI), particularly in cardiovascular performance and lower urinary tract (LUT) control. The work will involve multiple technologies in neuroanatomy, physiology, as well as cellular and molecular, and behavioral approaches.

    Key responsibilities of this position include:
    • Help with animal (rodent) surgery and care.
    • Histological and physiological experiments.
    • Molecular experiments and data analysis.
    • Lab administrative routine.
    • Equipment maintenances.
    Successful candidates will be persuasive communicators with exceptional organizational and time management skills.     Must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.

    Monday - Friday 8-5pm

    Minimum Qualifications

    A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

    Preferred Qualifications

    B.S. in Biology (no more than 5 years) or equivalent discipline is preferred. Working experience with animals is also important but not required. Individuals with a Master's degree in these or related areas are encouraged to apply. Salary will be determined by the level and skill of the applicant.

    Anticipated Hiring Range

    Salary Range: $ $19.01 per hour
    Grade: GGS-004
