- Lead and oversee all payroll operations for a mid-sized company with multiple business unit locations in the U.S. and Canada.
- Play a significant role in implementing the payroll section of a new HRIS system to ensure a smooth transition.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team, creating a collaborative work environment.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with prevailing wages and other complex concepts.
- Work with different teams like HR, Finance, and IT to streamline processes and improve payroll efficiency.
- Generate and assess reports to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of payroll data.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management.
- Proven experience with HRIS systems like UKG, Ultimate, Kronos, Paycom, or similar ones. UKG experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of complex payroll concepts, prevailing wages, state regulations, and Canada-specific requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy levels.
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
