    Bronwick, LLC finds top talent for companies that we admire.

    Currently, we are searching for an experienced Senior Commercial Estimator for our client in the Providence market. Our client is a premier stone fabricator who is expanding and looking to add strong estimating talent to their team with tremendous short and long-term upside.

    We are seeking a self-driven and experienced individual to take on the responsibility of both estimating and managing a team of estimators.

    Estimating Responsibilities:

    • Document Preparation:
    • Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for estimating purposes.
    • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to create accurate cost estimates.
    • Digital Take-offs:
    • Conduct digital take-offs and count stone slabs based on drawings.
    • Bid Preparation:
    • Assess due date feasibility and discuss completion dates with clients.
    • Prepare bid documents, including necessary qualifications.
    • Evaluate the accuracy of vendor quotes.
    • Product Knowledge:
    • Develop in-depth product knowledge and compare similar products from various suppliers.
    • Become an expert in the field through company resources and individual study.
    • Familiarize yourself with product properties, manufacturing processes, limitations, and emerging surfacing products.
    Managing Responsibilities:
    • Value Engineering (VE):
    • Initiate VE options using material, color, manufacturing, and design alternates.
    • Project Organization:
    • Report weekly on bids in progress.
    • Organize project files.
    • Follow up with clients on bids.
    • Present awarded projects during hand-off meetings to the project management team.
    • Client Relationship Management:
    • Pursue outstanding bids with clients and foster relationships.
    • Review bid log, self-assign projects, and update the bid log as needed.
    • Collaboration and Management:
    • Collaborate with other estimators to understand complicated drawings or pricing.
    • Assist team members in understanding new or unusual materials.
    • Train team members as needed.
    • Review and correct other estimators' work before submission.
    • Cross-train to serve as bid log backup.
    Skills Required:
    • Industry Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of stone fabrication and installation principles and practices.
    • Time Management:
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Software Proficiency:
    • Proficient in using construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam or Planswift).
    • Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Problem Solving:
    • Ability to use personal resources to find answers to product and design questions during the bid process.
    • Communication:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Team Collaboration:
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Experience:
    • 5 or more years of commercial stone estimation experience.
    • Managerial experience in the same or a similar field.
    Reporting Structure: This role reports directly to the VP Commercial Sales and Marketing.

    Salary: $72, $78,000.00 per year
