Opportunity
The Robern Marketing Manager - Product & New Business is responsible for management of Robern new business products and services from creation of the new products & services, through their removal from the product line, in addition to strategic product partnerships:

  • Develop strategic plans and programs that drive luxury product innovation and overall business growth
  • identify and satisfy market potential, obtain the desired profit through strategy development, execution, and sales growth
  • Oversee product road map, forecasting, and commercialization
  • Partner with design, engineering, supply chain, channel marketing, sales, finance, and customer service
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction
Other competencies associated with primary function and scope of the role include:

  • Thinking holistically about Robern's business to drive growth & results
  • Establish partnerships that drive enhance luxury assortment/brand expansion
  • Work closely with the heads of Brand and Channel Marketing to develop launch plans
  • Work closely with engineering, industrial design, and operations to establish product & overall competency roadmaps
  • Serve as a marketing leader for Robern to develop, carry out and communicate management's strategies and goals throughout the business

Specific Responsibilities

  • Co-Lead the development and prioritization of the 5year New Product Development strategy to ensure longterm luxury standing, differentiation & profitable sales growth
  • Determine global market potential by product and channel through research, analysis, customer feedback and product performance.
  • Manage the development of sales forecasts, market penetration, and recommend sales policies, budget estimates, and projected return on investments for all products.
  • Direct the creation of strategies and tactics to enter and win in unserved and underserved product categories to drive Robern to its strategic share goals.
  • Partner with Kallista and Ann Sacks on luxury product development solutions.
  • Identify and proactively act on opportunities to improve processes within the marketing organization and business.
  • Manage product prices, terms of sale and discounts, recognizing our objectives and our competition. Approve the manufacture and establish prices for modified products.
  • Develop a personal expertise on product categories and markets including a complete intelligence file on competitors' products, pricing, field activity, and channels of market distribution and end
- user preferences.

  • Become familiar with product materials, manufacturing, packaging, and promotions.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating special promotional programs to introduce new products to Sales and customers on a timely basis prior to their worldwide introduction.
  • Manage product manager to create comprehensive business strategies, sound project scope definitions and marketing analysis in all phases of product development.
  • Instrumental in working on the financial plan and strategic plan.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to increase product margins.
  • Analyze performance of each product in terms of profitability, volume contribution to product line and its potential, and recommend, where applicable, product line extensions and discontinuations or more emphasis through marketing programs.
  • Assure the new product vitality for Robern overall remains at objective through proper use of obsolescence and life cycle management.

Skills/Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field; MBA in Management/Marketing preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years' marketing experience with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.
  • Approximately 20% travel is required.
  • An Associates' degree is preferred, with a focus in Business Administration or related discipline. Individual must be selfmotivated and capable of working independently, with strong abilities to multitask and prioritize.
  • Must have strong communication skills, including proven skills in designing presentations.
  • This role requires high proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
