    Description

    Seeking a Communications Manager to create and execute a multi-channel communications policy maximizing the organization's reach and effective messaging. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the way our organization is perceived by key audiences. The communications manager will drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communications process from concept to message development to result-oriented evaluation. The successful candidate will be responsible for

    • Evaluating existing communications processes and programs including online collaborative platforms.
    • Establishing and executing a comprehensive communications program identifying effective strategies for both internal membership and external public audiences.
    • Creating high-quality marketing communications (email, social media, website banners, print, etc.) that effectively promote engagement and/or sponsorship for ACEC/NC events.
    • Designing (or overseeing the design of) all ACEC/NC printed and electronic marketing collateral, including, but not limited to, brochures, flyers, postcards, ads, branded items, and specialty projects.
    • Promoting awareness around ACEC/NC's advocacy efforts through the preparation and distribution of press releases, media advisories, and other communications on an as-needed basis.
    • Maintaining a strong, visible social media presence for ACEC/NC.
    • Creating fresh content for the ACEC/NC website.
    • Working with the Operations manager to refresh and update the ACEC/NC website.
    • Working with the Meeting and Conference Director to produce the Engineering Excellence Awards competition, including solicitation of award application submittals, and judging and promotion of the awards and award winners.
    • Working with the Membership Manager to create timely member outreach materials, new member materials, and Orientation materials for the Board and Committees.

    Additional Skills Desired

    • Ability to digest and present on new programs before the Board and committees as needed.
    • Ability to research, identify, and evaluate new communications models and platforms
    • Proficiency with social media to tell our story and create inspiring ways to resonate with various audiences
    • Ability and comfort level in engaging with organization members in person, online, and on the phone.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications
    • 5+ years' of experience in communications operations
    • Experience posting and formatting content using a Content Management System (CMS)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in an office team setting and remotely
