    Position Summary


    The College of Arts & Sciences at the University of New Mexico is seeking an innovative and collaborative person to join our team as Marketing & Communications Manager.

    This position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will develop and implement a strategy to communicate the strengths our diverse college to multiple audiences.


    Core responsibilities include the following:
    1) developing and implementing a strategic plan for the marketing and communications of the College; 2) developing a content plan strategy for the redesign and maintenance of the College website, multi-media content and creation of a strong digital presence; 3) collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; 4) applying current marketing concepts and techniques to a university environment; 5) communicating effectively through various communication methods to reach target audience ; and 6) supervising others and identifying professional development opportunities.

    A strong candidate will be able to work with the variety of stakeholders and will integrate to new technologies into the College strategy.

    Conditions of Employment


    Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
    Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.
    Preferred Qualifications


    Experience conceptualizing the redesign of a website and social media platforms


    Experience supervising others


    Experience developing and implementing a strategic plan for an organization
