    Position Summary

    Avantax is seeking a Relationship Manager II - Transition Services who will be responsible for direct contact and communication with high-value prospects and newly affiliated high-value advisors, transitioning their practice to Avantax. This person is the quarterback who oversees all aspects of the transition, delivering an unparalleled, white-glove experience.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    The major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

    • Establish and maintain meaningful working relationships with financial advisors and their staff.
    • Customize transition plans based on the advisor, staff, office operations, and culture.
    • Drive pull-through of assets to convert onto the Avantax platform that aligns with business objectives, subject to change quarterly.
    • Efficiently manage multiple projects at various stages.
    • Develop weekly progress reporting personalized to individual advisor effectiveness.
    • Product mapping, including quality replacements for non-transferable assets.
    • Resolve escalated issues and ensure operational procedures are properly maintained and followed.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team on moderately complex and complex issues and projects.
    • Other job duties as defined.
    Education & Experience
    • BA or BS in Business or related field.
    • FINRA Series 7 & 63 are preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in sales and operational roles with demonstrated success in achieving goals.
    • Project and/or relationship management experience preferred.
    • Ability to articulate feedback in a way that others can comprehend.
    • Experience partnering with leadership on various campaigns.
    • Exceptional presentation skills and demonstrated leadership characteristics.
    • Results-oriented and proactive with the ability to balance multiple high-priority initiatives/projects concurrently.
    • Up to 25% travel.
    Physical Demand & Work Effort
    • Keying/typing, standing, walking.
    • Sitting for an extended period.
    • Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
    • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
    • Compliance with company attendance standards.
