    Position Title: Staffing Coordinator

    Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

    Rate of Pay: $23.00/hr.

    Who you are:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in 24-hour staffing in LTC or health care preferred.
    Job Summary:

    The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing the staffing function for the clinical staff (licensed nurses and CNAs), reviewing and entering data into the timekeeping system scheduling the nursing staff, and assisting the Director of Nursing with various projects. In addition, the coordinator arranges and coordinates medical transportation for the residents of the Health Center.

    Essential Job Duties:
    • Develops and maintains a master schedule for nursing employees to ensure that staffing hours are based on census, department budgets, and hours per patient day (HPPD).
    • Maintains confidentiality of all information related to the business, the employees, and the performance of job duties.
    • Enters data into the timekeeping system related to paid time off as necessary.
    • Generates and processes paperwork related to the employment cycle of clinical employees including status, position, wage, and other changes.
    • Manages staff PTO requests and holiday schedules to maintain adequate staffing.
    • Tracks staff absences/call-ins and replaces staff as necessary.
    • Establishes and maintains monthly and daily schedules for adequate staffing to meet patient needs.
    • Assists in coordinating events in the Nursing Office; makes appointments, and follow-up calls, posts notices of department event, sends reminders to staff, and answers questions about department events.
    • Responsible for review and approval of employee timecards to ensure payroll accuracy. Educates staff as needed on timecard policy and procedure.
    • Follows up with staff with missed punches.
    • Reports early and late clock-ins to DON.
    • Supports clinical staff with resident care by:
    • Arranging physician appointments and transportation to appointments for residents.
    • Copying and processing resident transfer and discharge paperwork
    All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community require that we ask about your COVID-19 vaccination status.
