    Description

    Duties * Serves as US Army Pacific (USARPAC) G-2 Security Assistant, supporting AR 380-5 intelligence-related multi-discipline security programs, to include Physical, Personnel, and Industrial Security disciplines.

    * Performs variety of routine to complex administrative security duties related to the safeguard of personnel, classified information, and equipment.

    * Executes administrative support for Physical Security and Industrial Security activities and functions and provides technical expertise of those systems and processes.

    * Administrates, operates, and protects of the Command's Access Control System (ACS); processes, validates, and controls identification card media; monitors security alarms; closed circuit television; and intrusion detection systems.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

    * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

    * Temporary duty (TDY) travel requirement for this position is approximately 5%. * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

    Specialized experience:
    1) Utilizing databases to verify security clearance. 2) Issuing and/or accountability for security/access badges. 3) Maintaining security files using automated systems in accordance with applicable security regulations.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-07).
