- Using Fusion 360 to model lighting fixture hardware and assemblies
- Create precise part drawings in Fusion 360 for various manufacturing trades: CNC Machining, Bending, Metal Spinning, Glass Blowing, Water-Jet cutting, 3D Printing, Woodturning, and more.
- Use our MarkForged X7 3D printer to create on-demand jigs to improve metal finishing, assembly, and fabrication production processes.
- Listen to production, management, quality, planning, and purchasing personnel and use those inputs to improve the process.
- Work under the Senior Design Engineer to produce custom lighting fixture designs and modifications.
- Assist the Engineering Team with updating and releasing product improvements.
- Organize new parts for procurement inside our task management software.
- Create custom Production Sheets and a Bill of Materials to upload into our ERP software.
- Prototype new hardware and fixture designs in our machine shop.
- Assemble prototypes of new or existing designs to examine ways to improve production efficiency.
- Upload and maintain production data related to parts, assemblies, and work orders in our ERP software (Netsuite).
- A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Mechanical aptitude, with an eye for details and manufacturing knowledge.
- Highly Proficient in Fusion 360
- Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP systems
- Strong communication skills, including outstanding written communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of your work and confidently articulate design intent while welcoming feedback and dialogue
- Delivering documentation that provides critical analysis and suggestions for innovative solutions
