- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process and communicate HR-related paperwork, such as promotions and terminations.
- Manage employee files and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with management to promote positive employee relations and a respectful work environment.
- Administer and communicate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
- Maintain accurate leave records and coordinate with payroll to ensure proper time-off tracking and payment
- Administer and support the performance management process for the firm and it's departments
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes as needed.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge with HRIS and Performance Management Platforms needed.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- DISC knowledge or certification is a plus.
