- Conducts new hire orientation; manages onboarding documents; I9 compliance
- Participate in full cycle recruitment efforts including attracting and assessing candidate capabilities, work productively with outside search agencies, candidates, and internal clients; manage internal bidding process
- Partners with supervisors to maintain consistent documentation within the corrective action (ICC) and contact form process
- Generates HR metric reports; absenteeism, headcount, hours worked, turnover
- Enters information into HRIS system that includes: compensation, job, or personal information changes
- Coordinates special events, including: award banquets, holiday parties, summer picnics, Tarkett Cares initiatives, and other various events as needed
- Liaison for leave management between employee and 3rd party leave administrator
- Execute human resources strategies in all HR functional areas, programs and practices such as talent management, staffing, on-boarding, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, organization effectiveness, training and development, and HR policies
- Manage employee relations and assist in counseling employees and conducting exit interviews
- Partner with management to ensure training and development of hourly workforce
- Oversee the plant timekeeping system (ADP) and prepare necessary documents/reports for ensuring payroll can be run with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Partner on labor relation issues including: contract administration, grievance handling, investigations, and union avoidance
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources with 2-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Labor relations experience strongly desired
- Experience with handling multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when required (7 day/week operation)
- Internal customer service focus with strong organization, written and interpersonal skills
- HRIS experience is a plus, Workday/ADP experience would be an asset
