    Why this job SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

    A reputable construction and development firm based in Colorado is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for all finance and accounting aspects of project development, working closely with directors, equity partners, and lenders. This role does not currently have any direct reports but does offer the opportunity to hire & mentor a staff accountant down the road. You'll have the chance to tackle diverse accounting responsibilities, avoiding being confined to a single task. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of diverse property development projects.

    What You'll Actually Do:

    • Assist in overseeing month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of Work-in-Progress (WIP) records monthly
    • Collaborate on budgeting processes, support annual audits, and contribute to financial statement preparation
    • Offer financial assistance to the development team, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions in line with operating agreements
    • Coordinate with team members, holding them accountable for meeting requirements and ensuring timely draw submissions and project funding

    To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

    • Bachelors degree in accounting preferred
    • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • Full cycle accounting required with a small to mid-sized company
    • Construction or development experience is a plus
    • Self-motivated with intellectual curiosity to dive into projects and take on new responsibilities
    • Experience with Vista Viewpoint or other large ERP systems / general tech savviness

    Where and How Much:

    • Target Compensation up to $110K DOE + Discretionary Bonus
    • 100% in office for training w/flexibility for hybrid schedule down the road Uptown Office location
