    Why this job SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

    A leading manufacturing company making waves in the energy sector is looking to fill a newly created Senior Accountant role. This position will be crucial to the monthly accounting close, financial statement preparation, and yearly audit process. As the Senior Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager on daily accounting, reporting, and operational tasks. You will take charge of the accounting responsibilities in a self-directed setting. As this cutting-edge, dynamic organization continues to grow, you will have ample growth opportunities.

    What You'll Actually Do:

    • Manage daily and monthly accounting tasks, including month-end general ledger activities and account reconciliations
    • Conduct variance analysis to support management reporting
    • Prepare journal entries and financial processes to maintain accurate General Ledger in accordance with GAAP, ensuring timely month-end closure
    • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and controls in recording, documenting, reviewing, and supporting transactions
    • Oversee sales and use tax compliance responsibilities

    To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • 2+ years of full-cycle GL accounting experience
    • Desire and willingness to wear multiple accounting hats
    • Strong understanding of GAAP
    • Intermediate Excel skills
    • Large ERP experience needed
    • Experience with large data sets a plus
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
