    Description
    Senior Accountant

    Responsibilities and Duties of

    Senior Accountant:
    Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

    Prepare appropriate journal ledger entries, reclassifications, and account reconciliations

    Assist in the preparation of financial statements

    Ensure adherence to all corporate accounting, month-end close, and investor reporting deadlines

    Reconcile extensive intercompany transactions

    Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules

    Track capex by asset classification and type and assist with monthly reporting to leadership team

    Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes

    Collaborate with acquisition and strategic operations teams to support company goals and objectives

    Assist with the preparation of materials for external tax consultants and auditors

    Research and reconcile accounting issues within the GL

    Support other teams with special projects as needed

    Assist with development and documentation of standard operating procedures for the accounting team

    Requirements of

    Senior Accountant:
    BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance

    Three to 5 year's prior experience in general ledger and financial reporting

    Private equity, REIT, or hospitality industry experience is a plus

    TEam player who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    Experience with a larger ERP system.

    Microsoft Office Suite (Emphasis on strong excel usage)
