- Lead custodian for the Administrative and DWC Custodial staff, including training custodians in the duties and expectations for their position
- Provides guidance, mentoring, and support for all custodial staff
- Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Manager in the performance review of all custodial staff
- Thoroughly clean all bathroom sinks, toilets and mirrors
- Replenish paper products, refill soap dispensers in bathrooms, and extra supplies under sinks
- Clean sinks and tables in break rooms and coffee stations with disinfectant
- Ensure doors and windows are locked when finished; security of the buildings is a priority
- Vacuum and mop all floors daily and weekly, spot clean carpets if needed
- Wipe windowsill woodwork, scrub trash cans, wash windows, wash screens, wash casings, and clean grounds and sidewalks seasonally
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies, and TERO ordinance

- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), preferred, or a combination of education and experience in a related field may be substituted for a degree
- Three (3) to five (5) years of custodial & general labor experience
- Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities
- OSHA trained
- Blood-borne pathogen training and knowledge
- Knowledge and experience working with Alaska Native/American Indian populations
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification, or within 90 days of hire
- Valid Alaska Driver's License and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy
- Biohazard disposal training, or within 30 days of hire
- Training on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, or within 30 days of hire
- Must have a valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy, or obtain within 90 days of hire, or, with approval of the hiring manager, sign a *Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in lieu of having a driver's license to perform the required duties of the position (If Applicable)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, or obtain training within 90 days of hire
- Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, respectful, and kind when dealing with un'ina, visitors, co-workers, and others
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Must have a high degree of personal integrity
- Knowledge of proper cleanup of infectious communicable diseases and understanding of the procedures of an Infectious Control Program
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends
