We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will showcase meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in managing A/R responsibilities and other accounting tasks at PI. This position will be based at our office in Auburn, MA, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

Collaborating closely with the manufacturing team to validate and record customer transactions, addressing any account discrepancies.
Cultivating and enhancing customer relationships by communicating with clients regarding overdue accounts.
Delivering exceptional customer service to both internal colleagues and external clients.
Resolving payment inconsistencies and handling customer complaints efficiently.
Reporting discrepancies to the management team, identifying slow-paying clients, and suggesting appropriate actions.
Processing credit card transactions daily.
Reconciling customer payments and account transactions, engaging with customers to resolve receivables issues as needed.
Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions in the ERP system, following up with managers on unresolved matters.
Managing the sales order grid based on customer terms.
Ensuring up-to-date accounts receivable records, including applying credits, managing collections, and resolving discrepancies.
Preparing reports and analyses for management as requested.
Handling customer credit requests and processing approved requests.
Assisting in annual audits and monthly closings.
Organizing A/R files and providing support to team members as needed.
Completing any additional accounting tasks to support the organizational mission.

Your Background:

Holder of an Associate degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in accounts receivable.
Demonstrated precision, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Experience with major ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, or Infor is mandatory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and US GAAP.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and set clear expectations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster customer relationships.
Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
Prior experience in collection calls is essential.
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in various software tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
