Position Title and Summary

The Operations Support Specialist will begin by supporting and learning from business leaders. This role will include a combination of administrative, operational and leadership tasks in order to ensure that the division is as effective and as efficient as possible. This individual will be exposed to all aspects of the business, including dispatching, sales, operations, finance etc. This individual will be an essential part of a growing business division and team, and those successful in the role will receive training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability to other teams and greater promotional opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support the business by creating work orders and recording accurate information for route scheduling and maintenance; this task includes inputting daily route ('ticket") information for billing purposes
Monitor emails and respond as needed to support daily operational duties
Communicate and dispatch driver pool to their designated assignments
Communicate safety goals and objectives to drivers on a daily basis
Assist in resolving safety, service, and operational issues
Perform route and safety audits
Assist billing with processing payments and other financial responsibilities as needed
Work with company software to complete operational tasks
Communicate with employees about scheduling, maintenance, and service issues.
Work closely with management to learn the day-to-day operations

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

High School Diploma required
Microsoft Office 365
MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company
Aspiration for further training / leadership opportunities

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit
Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
