    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and research potential operators of marginal oil and gas wells through various channels, including industry databases, networking events, and referrals.
    • Initiate contact with operators to introduce our early decommissioning program and highlight the benefits of participation, including access to carbon finance incentives and mitigation of decommissioning liabilities.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, including project development, finance, and legal, to evaluate the feasibility and viability of potential projects.
    • Develop and present tailored proposals outlining the financial and environmental benefits of participating in our program, addressing operators' concerns and objectives effectively.
    • Negotiate terms and agreements with operators, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and financial arrangements.
    • Maintain ongoing relationships with operators to ensure successful project implementation and maximize carbon credit sales opportunities.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics related to carbon credits and oil and gas production to inform business development strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, engineering, petroleum or related field.

    • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including knowledge of well operations, production economics, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with carbon credit markets and environmental regulations is a plus.
    • Must be located in Austin, TX or willing to relocate.
