    Interacting with people, making connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day; its what you do, and you love it. Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the Business Travel market. Solicit new accounts and manage existing BT accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through customer management, telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. Youll have the opportunity to do this and more as a BT Sales Manager for our hotel

    As a BT Sales Manager, you will:

    Understand the competitive landscape and do what it takes to secure business that meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals.

    Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as social media, outside calls, and telemarketing.

    Capture the clients vision and effectively convey the specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience, and seeding future sales.

    Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to expand the reach with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts, tapping into community organizations and the media to elevate your hotels' market share awareness and driving further business.

    Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.

    Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintain open communications with all co-workers and managers for the best overall performance of the hotel.

    Develop a BT marketing strategy by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market trends and creating selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue to meet/exceed sales goals.

    Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized, and up-to-date file management system to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.

    Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interaction.

    Promptly follows-up on all customer needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.

    Conduct research, surveys, personal investigation and study the marketplace and territory to effectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities.

    Focus on revenue-producing activity and selling time by a strategic plan that maximizes direct sales efforts.

    Achieve activity goals as established by management and complete all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion.

    Consistently acquires sales training in an ongoing effort to improve performance.

    Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.

    Perform Manager-on-Duty functions and shifts as assigned.

    Fundamentals

    A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience is required, with one to two years employment in a related position. Must possess effective verbal and written English communications skills. Advanced knowledge of sales and hospitality principles and practices is expected. This position also requires an ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
