    Description


    Aon is looking for a Senior Director, Reinsurance Property Per RiskAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of Aon's Reinsurance Solutions.

    This role can be located in or near most major US cities.

    Your impact as a Senior Director, Reinsurance Property Per RiskJob Responsibilities:

    This role will have a heavy focus on property per risk, in particular structuring and negotiating sophisticated commercial (including Excess & Surplus) per risk placements, understanding key terms and coverage concerns, and maintaining a comprehensive peer comparison to assist other broking teams in understanding per risk market dynamicsWill collaborate with various broking teams to support both new and existing complex per risk placementsCoordinates with the Property Growth team on expanding Aon's portfolio within the per risk marketIn conjunction with actuarial and catastrophe modeling teams, expand Aon's analytics approach within the Per Risk space.

    As a senior professional, makes a meaningful contribution to the success of the company through financial impact of revenue contribution, strategic growth of a product or enhancement of the company's professional image and expertiseUses key business parameters to evaluate department efficiencyViewed as a key client manager; receives high client satisfaction results by achieving clients' reinsurance placement goalsGrows existing accounts and seeks new account opportunitiesAchieves placement goals at or above set levels and supports team growth to do the sameAbility to effectively and independently conduct relevant business discussions at the most senior level (CEO/CFO)


    Builds and maintains effective working relationships with clients and reinsurersEstablishes credibility with clients through day-to-day interactionsDemonstrates problem solving techniques to best meet the clients' needs; is recognized as a solution provider for complex client issuesSets realistic expectations and timelines with clients; then, able to produce results;Ensures all placements are thoroughly reviewed and delivered to the client within the acceptable cycle timeAdheres to Aon processes and procedures and all quality service requirements to deliver outstanding client valueRecognized as a company leader; committed to continuous improvement and client relationship managementLeads team of professionals or holds equivalent senior business responsibilityActs as a mentor to broking professionals and develops people to maximum potentialChampions and promotes team approach to both internal and external business relationshipsHandles T&E expenses for self and team within corporate guidelinesCommitment to pursuing self-development of knowledge and skills in evolving world of insurance, reinsurance and analyticsYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum years related experienceConsistent track record of placing complex property per risk treatiesPrevious formal or informal experience in leading direct reportsExceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior levelStrong market presence within the broking industryExcellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clientsEntrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for profitability and client satisfactionExcellent organization and time management skills; able to multi-task and manage projects and direct reportsAbility to lead team(s) to deliver the high levels of client service, quality and resultsExcellent analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisionsKnown problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutionsAbility to embrace and inspire change in support of the business unit's and company's goalsWorking knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applicationsThe salary range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 annually.

    This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

    The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
