Description
Duties:
- You will research, collate, interpret, analyze, evaluate, and integrate raw data from multiple sources and intelligence databases to assess the relevance and significance of developments in your assigned area(s).
- You will compose written allsource intelligence assessments and prepare and present briefings in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives, with assistance.
- You will provide regional expertise to support wargames and exercises for tactical, operational, and strategic level customers, with assistance.
- You will collaborate with regional and technical intelligence specialists from throughout the Intelligence Community to develop original assessments and respond to customer requirements.
- You will evaluate intelligence reporting, identify intelligence gaps, formulate collection requirements, and engage collection managers to develop collection plans, with assistance.
- You will participate in designated interagency and community meetings, conferences, and forums.

- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications:
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS06/08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- 1) Experience employing qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand political, social, and/or security issues;
- 2) Experience researching and collating information obtained from a variety of resources and databases;
- 3) Experience synthesizing information from disparate sources to form coherent assessments;
- 4) Experience composing analytical papers written to academic standards on political, social, and/or security issues;
- 5) Experience composing and presenting oral presentations; and
- 6) Experience with multitasking
