Opportunity
We're looking for a creative and energetic self-starter who works well autonomously and enjoys being a part of a small, distributed, close knit sales team. You're a great fit if:
This is a remote, in-territory sales position covering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Travel, primarily within the sales territory, is required. Additional travel includes visits (minimum, quarterly) to our headquarters in Enfield, CT and occasionally to customers, partners, prospects and events throughout North America.
Responsibilities
Primary efforts focus on the generation of sales, service and support of microscopes, measuring instruments, software for imaging and analysis, and sample preparation supplies and equipment. You will also be expected to perform basic installation and technical support.
Your success hinges on effectively cultivating and fostering relationships, including:
Experience & Skills
A minimum of 5 year's prior sales experience is required, however, this is a flexible position open to candidates with varying levels of experience. Please note, all new employees are provided comprehensive hands-on training and are supported by the management, back office and sales teams.
Candidates should demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, prioritization, and networking skills and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is expected and experience with enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM) is a bonus.
Compensation
Excel offers a competitive tiered salary and commission structure with ongoing bonus opportunities and a full complement of benefits. Starting compensation will be determined based on an assessment of experience, technical aptitude and sales acumen.
