Summary

This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of resolutions and receiverships activities of financial institutions.

Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Duties

Identifies the need for processing systems, reporting mechanisms, database support and other information sources required to monitor and evaluate various program areas.

Gathers, compiles, researches and manipulates financial data to prepare a variety of financial documents, management reports, and presentations.

Provides guidance and monitors the process involved in releasing collateral documentation.

Evaluates and reports on failing, failed or acquiring financial institution transactions and recommends action based on procedural directives, current policy and special circumstances of the institution.

Assists with developing, evaluating and implementing policies and procedures related to resolutions and receiverships activities of financial institutions.

Monitors a variety of contracts and/or agreements between the FDIC and other parties, . financial institutions, contractors, etc. Assures adherence to contract terms, FDIC standards and contracting procedures.

Facilitates meetings with FDIC officials, attorneys, accountants, contractors, representatives of financial institution, potential acquirers and other federal and state regulatory agency officials.

Conducts presentations concerning complex financial transactions, theories and analyses of economic impact, proposed solutions, actions and strategies.
