The University of Police and Public Administration of North Rhine-Westphalia (HSPV NRW) is seeking, at the
Aachen study location:

  • immediately
-
a government employee (m/f/d)

for the library department

(pay grade 8 TV-L)
for permanent employment at HSPV NRW.


The employees at the Aachen study location are currently responsible for approximately 850 students in the departments of General Administration (KVD) and Police.


YOUR TASKS

  • Lending, return, reservation, and renewal of media using the library software "BIBLIOTHECAplus"
  • Information and research work
  • Assistance with the selection, ordering, and inventory of media
  • Management of journal subscriptions and continuations
  • Maintenance and control of inventory
  • Technical media processing, book maintenance, disposal of outdated media
  • Updating looseleaf collections
  • Invoice processing
  • General library administration

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed training as a specialist for media and information services/library assistant

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Good knowledge of MS Office products (especially Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital media offerings (databases, ebooks)
  • Ideally, previous experience with the library software "BIBLIOTHECAplus"
  • Information and media literacy
  • Openness to new developments in the library field
  • High customer orientation
  • Very good teamwork and communication skills
