    Job DescriptionSUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – Non-Scripted & Documentary

    Program Duration: 8 weeks (June 17 – Aug 9)
    Weekly Hours: 24 hours/week (Mon-Thurs at 6 hours/day, 100% onsite)
    Hourly Rate: $23/hour
    Location: FIFTH SEASON, 9560 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212

    We're excited to announce an outstanding internship opportunity within our Non-Scripted and Documentary team at FIFTH SEASON, designed for individuals eager to delve into the captivating realm of unscripted television and documentary filmmaking. Within this dynamic team, responsible for acclaimed projects like McCartney 3, 2, 1 for Hulu and the Emmy-nominated Being Mary Tyler Moore for HBO, you'll have the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with seasoned industry professionals and gain hands-on experience across all stages of production.

    Job Duties may include:
    • Assist the Non-Scripted & Documentary team with ongoing projects across our development and production slate.
    • Conduct thorough research on existing projects, potential talent, and trending stories.
    • Support in managing tracker grids essential for the Non-Scripted and Documentary development team.
    • Provide regular reports to senior executives on successful cultural trends, news, and media insights.

    Requirements:
    • A strong interest in exploring the world of unscripted TV is essential.
    • Basic proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint/Keynote is required.
    • Demonstrated interest and knowledge in issues and stories relevant to underrepresented communities.
    • Prior internships or experience in unscripted television is preferred.

    A pivotal aspect of this internship is the candidate's dual interest in both the creative and business facets of the entertainment industry. Although the intern's primary role will be within our department, they will be encouraged to engage with various teams across the organization, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the industry's entire lifecycle. This internship involves participation and exposure to creative and administrative processes—from conducting research and analysis of industry trends to providing support across departments. The intern will also have the unique opportunity to shadow employees, gaining insights into different facets of the business.

    As a capstone to their experience, the intern will also undertake an independent project, culminating in a presentation to company executives at the end of the summer.
