JOB DESCRIPTION U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Product Leader with strong technical, influential, and strategic abilities to help drive the success of our enterprise technology initiatives. This role will sit within the Unified Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform product management team with a focus on leading a team of product managers to define the vision for the Online Data Platform (ODP) pillar by maximizing the potential of streaming and NoSQL technologies. The ODP includes products such as the Online Serving Layer (OSL), which serves billions of end-user requests per month, the Enterprise Streaming Services layer (ESS), a high-throughput messaging framework, and the Cloud Digital Artery (CDA), a scalable, flexible, metadata-driven event streaming mechanism by which events are collected and conveyed to downstream data stores for a wide variety of use cases- such as powering Digital experiences, customer profiling marketing analytics, payments, and others. They will oversee the end-to-end product management for this platform and ensure the delivery capabilities while improving the efficiency and quality of our processes. As the key product executive for our Online Data Platform, your role is pivotal to the success of our real-time banking outcomes and collaborate with multiple engineering teams while driving the strategic vision, priorities and roadmap. As a visible U.S. Bank product executive, you will have an opportunity to define platform adoption strategies that keep and grow our customer base while improving our ability to better serve our customers at scale. You will establish robust performance metrics for the platform and evaluate tradeoffs across the different ODP teams. You will continuously monitor and improve post-launch performance, identify bottlenecks and rationalize the use of data to bridge sprints to meet the aggressive timelines of our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Insight-driven: Pulls from market and competitive insights, customer needs and internal business priorities to create the product vision (target customer segments, markets, channels, go-to-market approach and value propositions). Understand how our largest internal customers are defining their digital architecture and technology vision and define how the ODP needs to evolve to support thousands of developers and millions of external users around the world. Strateg ic alignment: Aligns strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders including senior technology and business leaders to identify company-wide priorities that help shape product roadmap, investment areas and success measures. Own the creation and evolution of products within the Online and Digital Layer of the UDAIP (Unified Data, Analytics, and AI/ML Platform) in partnership with engineering teams, UX/design teams and business stakeholders while driving the strategic vision, priorities, and the roadmap. Execution: Work closely with individual engineering teams and product owners to provide feedback and initiate feature requests; work closely with the engineering team to ensure that product requirements are understood. Manage technical considerations, working closely with engineering team to deliver elegant, generalizable solutions to complex problems. Work within an agile development framework by defining product features, user stories, prioritizing work in sprints and across the quarter, as well as participate in cross team and leadership retrospectives. Leadership: Educate and evangelize differentiating features of the platform on how its components are leveraged to impact the "whole product experience" and create business efficiencies. Creates and leads a small team of dedicated product managers responsible for all aspects of technical platform functionality, user experience and strategic product direction. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • 10 or more years of related experience in product management
    • At least 2 years of relevant management experience
    SKILLS SHOULD INCLUDE
    • 5+ years of experience working on real-time technologies, microservice architectures, or operational databases
    • Advanced product management skills with a strong product sense and working backwards from customer
    • Prior experience with relevant technology stack including:
    • Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
    • REST and GRAPHQL APIs
    • Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and Data Activation
    • NoSQL databases like Cassandra and MongoDB
    • Full-text Search (one or more of Elastic, SOLR, Vespa)
    • Highly-distributed relational databases
    • Messaging and queuing technologies (ex. Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ)
    • Data Processing technologies such as Spark, Flink
    • API frameworks like Spring Boot
    • Caching technologies such as Redis and memcached
    • Understanding of different components of the technology stack for a cloud-based application
    • Knowledge of open-source technologies relevant to modern web, mobile and microservice standards/best practices
    • Strong knowledge of technical product development practices, implementation, and strategic analysis
    • Well-developed effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Strong ability to blend technical skills with financial ROI objectives
