- Process additions/changes/deletions of member benefit enrollments with accuracy
- Verify enrollments have been received with group insurance carriers. Enrollments are received via paper or electronic enrollment system and processed via multiple online carrier administration systems. Coverage may include medical, dental, ancillary, FSA, HSA, COBRA, etc.
- Create open enrollment materials, including employee guides for clients
- Process ID card requests and other benefit-related questions
- Log all activities into the tracking system with proper documentation
- Assist Account Managers with new client onboarding and enrollment data audits
- Ensure excellent, accurate, and effective service delivery is provided to all clients and their employees
- Understand COBRA eligibility requirements and process COBRA activities with outside 3rd party COBRA administrators, as needed
- Ability to work independently and be flexible with internal and external clients
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of two years of professional experience
- Experience in employee benefit programs and/or life and health insurance companies is a plus
- License in Life and Health
- Employee Navigator knowledge

The Employee Benefits Specialist is part of the Client Services Team that supports the agency. This position requires the ability to multi-task and complete responsibilities with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. The main support areas of this role are processing enrollments and eligibility with insurance carriers, conducting audits after open enrollment has been completed, and preparing open enrollment materials. This position supports both internal agency staff and external clients. Position requires a friendly attitude and positive demeanor.
Requirements
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
