    Description

    Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.

    As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

    Duties:

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
    • Assist with monthend and yearend close processes
    • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of financial transactions
    • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support financial management initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

    Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field
    • Strong knowledge of financial acumen and accounting principles
    • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
    • Experience with bank reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping
    • Familiarity with corporate finance concepts and securities law is a plus
    • Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
