    Job Overview - Staff Accountant


    As the Staff Accountant for Revenue, your pivotal role involves spearheading crucial aspects of the financial month-end closing and reporting cycle.

    This encompasses overseeing intricate journal entries and managing the Revenue Accounting Recognition (RAR) tool within the company.

    A successful candidate will engage closely with key stakeholders across the business landscape, providing invaluable insights into revenue recognition for emerging products and services while ensuring strict compliance with relevant guidelines, policies and protocols.

    Key Duties


    • Spearheading revenue accounting close procedures, entailing meticulous review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures.
    • Scrutinizing and evaluating sales contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
    • Collaborating with operational teams to enhance revenue recognition processes and uphold system precision.
    • Engaging in cross-functional collaboration to support overarching company initiatives, offering guidance to business partners on revenue accounting principles and recognition requirements.
    • Assisting with quarterly and year-end inquiries, requests, and tasks originating from both internal and external auditors.
    • Maintaining a keen focus on continuous process enhancement by identifying efficiency opportunities and implementing strategies to optimize time and resources.
    • Undertaking special projects as necessitated by the evolving needs of the organization.
    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably with experience or exposure to revenue
    • Experience organizing a large volume of information and identifying and deploying automation tools/solutions
    • Proficiency in the use of database tools and financial reporting packages.
    • Clear communicator, experience running meetings effectively, and to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience
    • Complete ownership and accountability of the function given the deadline-oriented nature of the position
    • Adaptable to changing business environment and organizational structure
    • Experience with SAP, a plus

    • Must be a full-time employee (30+ weekly hours/+130 hours per month) to be eligible
