Job Description Summary:
The Cyber Security Risk Assessment Specialist will be responsible for managing lab vendor risk assessments, including analysis and cyber risk assessments of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
The role involves working on various Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) projects using the Talatek TiGRIS tool and ensuring that performance during remote work matches onsite productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the management of Lab Vendor risk assessments.
Conduct cyber risk assessments of Cloud Service Providers (Vendors).
Engage with vendors to review controls, certifications, and risks.
Perform various risk-based assessments of NIST control validation and gap analysis.
Present outcomes of risk analysis work to the CSPO and other lab audiences.
Perform assessment and assessment result maintenance in the GRC tool (TiGRIS).
Produce deliverables including assessment process documents and assessment report management.
Communicate through email, TEAMS, and other approved communication tools.
Adhere to Argonne's Cyber Security Program's policies and procedures.
Required Experience & Technical Skills/Education:
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Experience in assessing vendor risk.
Skill in identifying measures or indicators of system performance.
Ability to skillfully communicate through various methods.
Working knowledge of networking and system administration.
Basic knowledge of cyber security concepts.
Experience working in a government environment and distributed IT environment.
Ability to obtain HSPD 12 card for use in two-factor authentication.
U.S. citizenship is required for any access to systems or data.
Nice to Have Skills/Experience:
Experience working with Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) systems.
Familiarity with the Talatek TiGRIS tool.
Experience presenting reports and outcomes to leadership and creating buy-in for risk management.
Experience skillfully interacting with user organizations to validate controls.
Ability to disseminate knowledge to current staff.
