    Account Executive

    Summary:

    The Business Development Representative will sell health, life and other types of insurance policies, coverage, and professional HR services.

    Essential Functions:

    · Contact prospective clients to inquire about group insurance products and other services.

    · Build and maintain a consistently strong pipeline.

    · Actively participate in networking across the region to develop prospective leads.

    · Proactively and efficiently manage resources with dedicated teams, virtual teams, and executive staff around opportunities to ensure successful outcomes.

    · Maintain assigned book of business to ensure the strength of the current relationship and annual renewal.

    Responsibilities:

    · Explain various insurance policies and other products to potential and existing clients; guide clients in selecting coverage and services to best meet their needs.

    · Suggest modifications and updates to clients' existing insurance policies.

    · Build customized insurance policies and packages to meet clients' needs.

    · Consistently win business with new groups and through existing client relationships

    · Maintain print and electronic records and files as required.

    · Other duties as may be assigned by management.

    Required Skills / Abilities:

    Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.

    The ability to bounce back from a no sale.

    Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Proficient with LinkedIn and virtual meeting platforms.

    Excellent proposal development and presentation skills.

    Proficient at conducting virtual and in person sales presentations.

    Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.

    Ability to present and recommend HR service models.

    Ability to determine the best insurance policy for clients.

    Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets.

    Attentive to forecasting and business reporting responsibilities including skills and experience using a CRM.

    Education/Experience

    ? High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

    ? An Ohio license to sell Life, Accident, and Health insurance is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

    ? Five or more years of business-to-business sales experience.

    ? Two years of insurance or professional service industry experience preferred.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write and understand reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or manager, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
