Summary The Director of Human Resources will oversee all HR practices and initiatives, including staff recruitment and development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, capacity planning, and organizational development.
You will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of HR trends and recommending cost-effective and efficient solutions. You will also as the liaison for HR initiatives between executive leadership, management, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, preferred; Master's degree or HR certification is a plusMinimum 8 years' hands-on HR experience to include leadership roles across employee lifecycle
Experience building, deploying, and managing full spectrum of HR processes and policies from the ground up
Proven track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results
Deep knowledge and experience managing HR functions related to multi-state labor laws and regulations, including California
Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Parental Leave, 401k, STD/LTD, Discretionary PTO, HSA/FSA, Wellness Stipend.
The work for this position will be conducted in an office environment.
The role may require maintaining a stationary position for extended periods of time, operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, attending to tasks for extended periods of time, and communicating accurate information effectively and efficiently.
