    Description

    LSG, an impact agency specializing in brand building, corporate reputation management, and public affairs, is seeking a manager to join our team in Washington, D.C. Managers play a key role in supporting our clients' communications and public affairs needs and are detail-oriented and energetic professionals.

    Candidates must have previous experience in communications, journalism, political campaigns, or marketing. Prior agency experience is a plus.

    The manager position is full-time with benefits and presents unique advancement opportunities for those seeking to excel and grow in a fast-paced environment. Portfolio will include a range of projects of various scopes and sizes across multiple industries related to public affairs initiatives, communications, earned media, and/or community engagement campaigns.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the execution of integrated public affairs and communications campaigns by managing and creating day-to-day client deliverables.
    • Write and edit high-quality internal and external, channel-appropriate communications content, including op-eds, LTEs, one-pagers, press releases, letters, action alerts, social media content, and other collateral, ensuring quality and timeliness.
    • Own the delivery of a work stream within large initiatives and client accounts with oversight from account leads.
    • Independently drive multiple projects for clients from start to finish, anticipating challenges, solving problems, overseeing quality, and meeting deadlines.
    • Conduct and analyze research on a variety of client-related issues, staying current on industry, political, and communications trends.
    • Nurture and grow relationships with clients, including with client peers, remaining responsive, professional, and positive.
    • Assist with client reporting, including the management and compilation of weekly reports, call agendas, and updates.
    • Attend and coordinate client meetings—both virtually and in-person—helping to facilitate logistics.
    • Staff client events that may require travel, including providing logistical and on-the-ground support.
    • Complete other duties as appropriate and assigned.

    Qualifications

    • At least 2-3 years of experience in public affairs, journalism, communications, or marketing working on complex communications, public policy, or political campaigns or challenges.
    • Proven ability to manage multifaceted projects is required; doing so at an agency or political campaign setting is a plus.
    • A track record of producing high-quality writing and editing deliverables.
    • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively, ensuring work product is relevant, inspiring, and impactful.
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and deliverables efficiently through systems and proper communication.
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
