    Candidate QualificationsSkills and Characteristics

    To be successful in this position, the front desk receptionist will be dedicated to making a positive impression when greeting Members and guests, ensuring an excellent experience in each interaction. Specific skills necessary for success include:

    • Strong verbal and written communication with both Members and the professional team
    • Professional and courteous etiquette, both in person and on the telephone
    • An understanding that the "little things" matter, such as greeting Members by name with a smile
    • Attention to details and deadlines with a motivated, self-starter approach
    • Ability to operate in a Windows-based environment, with average typing skills
    • Ability to learn the computer system used for booking reservations and registering Members for Club events
    • A positive, patient demeanor, with professional composure even during the busiest of times
    • Ability to demonstrate organization, adaptability, and informed decision-making

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    The front desk receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression with Members and guests in person and over the telephone. The receptionist greets all visitors with a smile and a warm welcome, addressing their immediate needs. Other primary duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the events calendar, answering Member questions about Club functions as they arise
    • Accurately booking reservations for various Club services, including dining, hotel rooms, and events
    • Checking guests in and out of hotel rooms; communicating with the housekeeping team to ensure accurate room status; and ensuring that all hotel rooms are billed correctly
    • Connecting Members and guests with appropriate staff members
    • Providing interdepartmental support to teammates, including assistance with direct mailings, file maintenance, document preparation, etc.
    • Performing other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director of First Impressions
    • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
